DIY shrinky dinks

Hi guys! Today I’m going to be showing you how to make shrinky dinks from plastic containers. MAKE SURE IT IS #6 PLASTIC. Otherwise it WILL NOT WORK.

The first thing that you’re going to do is preheat the oven to 350 degrees farenheit. This way it can preheat while you’re drawing.

Next, cut out the flat part to make a sheet and draw on it with permanent markers. You can color it too. Now, cut out your pieces individually and put them on a sheet of tin foil with the edges folded up.Put them in the oven and watch them shrink! They will curl up, but eventually flatten out again, and even if they’re not perfectly flat, you have about 10 seconds after you take them out to flatten them.

Phone Photography tips

Hi guys!

Today I’ll be sharing some photography tips with you. There pretty simple, so anyone should be able to follow along.

Rule of thirds

The rule of thirds basically sas don’t put the subject of your photo right in the middle. Instead, put it in the right or left third. Having a grid helps a lot. On Apple devices, go to settings and search camera, then turn on grid. On Android, find the settings button in the camera app and turn grid on.

Lighting

When you’re taking a picture, you want to have good lighting in your picture, rather than having it be dark and grainy or too bright to see anything. If it’s too dark, flash is always a great option, where it’s allowed, and as long as you use it right. If it’s too bright, try tapping different areas on your screen until you get it right, or just change the camera angle altogether.

Focus

Most of the time you’ll want to focus on your subject. Tap on an object to focus. Whether you decide to blur the background or not is up to you.

PS yes I did take that picture with my phone

QUOTES BOOK XD

Hi guys! Today I want to share with you a book I made and you can too! There will be two parts to this post: my book and how you can make your own.

My Book

It took me about an hour to find the quotes, cut the paper, and do the lettering. It was worth it. I bring to you…
quotesbookThe magical book of inspirational quotes: Issue 1!

You can download and print it here.

How to make your own

I know that before I said it took me an hour, but that was just the decorating. The actual process is super quick. Here is a great video on how to do it. (I know I’m just too lazy to type it out.)

Anyway, thanks for reading! Bye!

My July 4th

Hi guys! What’s up? (nvm its not like you could answer anyway)

Yesterday was great. We did so much fun stuff! Not to mention Monday, we went to a drive in movie and saw despicable me 3 and cars 3. Cars 3 is better. Anyway, I was up until almost 1 AM! Then, I got up at 7:50 to go help set up our ward fourth of July party. We ate breakfast there, then headed straight to go visit our great aunt marlene. Then we finally went home and ate dinner (we had a late breakfast) while we watched the Sandlot 2. After that we went and watched fireworks at the chrich.

Welp. That’s about it. Bye!

DIY Harry Potter ring!

“Come down, Caitie! Don’t hide in your room.”

The truth is, I wasn’t. I was playing with my jewelry wire and pliers.

Hi guys! Today I’m gonna show you how to make this super cute and easy DIY Harry Potter ring.

Here we go!

Supplies

All you’re going to need is some jewelry wire, a small pair of round pliers, and a small wire cutter.

Ready? Go!

First, cut a piece of wire. I cut mine about four and a half inches, but I’m definitely going to have extra.

Next, make a small loop in your wire. This will be one lens frame on the glasses. Leave a small space and make another loop.

Bring the wire around your finger to get the size.

The final step is to shape a bit of the remaining wire into Harry’s lightning scar and trim it down. Now you’re finished!

Hope you liked it!

Hot glue Ombré charms

Hi guys!

So I wanted to make something today, and I thought of hot glue. There’s so much you can do with it. I decided to make these charms. All you need is a hot glue gun and a permanent marker.

First, you’re going to make a square of hot glue. Color from the bottom halfway up.

Next, you are going to add another layer of hot glue. Color this one from the bottom up, a little less than you did before. Repeat this step until your desired thickness/look is achieved.

Trim your peice until you have the shape you want. I was going for a gemstone, but it didn’t really work out. It’s still pretty though.
See you next time!

Farm Animal Art

Hi guys! I was doodling in a notebook today (my cousin’s, actually) and I drew a few circles. There were probably a gazillion other things I could have done with them, but I decided to draw some farm animals. I made gifs of how to draw them.

There’s a horse, a cow, a pig, and a chicken.

Hope you like them and I’ll see you next time!
